A generational curse is a destiny destroyer when the evil pattern overtakes God’s plan and purpose in one’s life. Usually, people don’t know they are under a curse until the Holy Spirit opens their eyes to the irregularities that have become a norm.
For example, there is a family in which people die when they reach 50 years old. How is that possible? Yes, when they get to 50, they die. Should we call that heredity? No. It is a curse and a family pattern that has become a regular thing.
We thank God for His goodness; one of the family members who are now in Christ realized that dying at the age of fifty is abnormal. He embarks on spiritual warfare and prayers, breaking family curses. Behold, he is in his sixties, waxing stronger. Assuming God did not open his eyes to see the evil pattern, he might have died before age 50.
Sometimes, a curse can be placed on someone, usually by someone of high authority. Such afflictions can place an embargo, an evil mark, deterioration, or even death on a person. It can be due to past offenses, bitterness, hatred, envy, ignorance, etc.
Remember, we are waging war against principalities and powers, and these people have evil forces to make a negative pronouncement.
Don’t worry. I have good news for you. It does not matter the types of curses placed on you or who placed the curse. I know, and I’m sure more significance is in you than in them if you believe in Jesus Christ.

Before you break a curse, you first need to know or realize that you have a curse. It will help you to see the type of curse and how to direct your prayers.
Secondly, surrender all to Christ; this battle is not a war with physical weapons. You need the whole armor of God to break any curse. After that, have faith in the process and believe your prayer is answered.
At times, you have to be conscious of your name. A man’s name plays an essential role in his life. That’s why God changed Jacob’s name to Israel. It was then that the blessing started manifesting. God also changed even Abraham’s name in the Bible.
If your name implies idol worship, I encourage you to change it to a new name that will glorify God and positively impact you.

After you have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, the Bible says that old things have passed away, and you are now a new creature.
How to break family curses with payers
Father, I have accepted Jesus Christ as my saviour. I’m no longer a part of this evil pattern. Let the blood of Jesus separate me from this (mention that thing you don’t want again).
Oh Lord, I renounce (mention the name: e.g., marriage failure, untimely death, backwardness.) that has been tormenting my lineage. I’m now in Jesus Christ, and He is in me. Evil power, you have no authority over me.
I dissociate myself from the satanic alter (backwardness, failure, and untimely death) in our family. I’m no longer available to serve you because I have a bigger master named Jesus Christ. And the Bible says that every knee must bow at the mention of Jesus’ name.
I reject every arrow of the evil family pattern projected at me. Return back to the sender in Jesus’ name.
I decree and declare that I will not die prematurely. My marriage will not collapse, and my children will grow in God’s wisdom in Jesus’ name.
I receive power for greatness in Jesus’ name. In Jesus’ name, failure will never find my family or me.
Your spirit of failure is tormenting my lineage. I am for Christ. Therefore, you have no authority over me. I command you out of life.
Every destiny destroyer in habiting my family, I uproot your source out of my life in Jesus’ name. I belong to Christ,
I am no longer the( old name); I am now ( the new name). All ye power tormenting me because of my previous bad name, I separate from you in Jesus might name.
Failure is no longer my portion, in the mighty name of Jesus. I am moving higher in Jesus’ name.

Brethren, breaking family curses is not a day’s work. It can take months or even years before you start seeing the result and manifestation of your payers. However, that does not mean your prayers are not answered.
